Tribute to the Philippines after typhoon Haiyan by Nics-MP Tribute to the Philippines after typhoon Haiyan by Nics-MP
First of all, I would like to announce to everyone that this photo does not belong to me, it belongs to a photographer (Who I could not find) from Yahoo News! But right now, I think it would be best if you all would allow me to share this heartfelt tribute to MY people in the Philippines. And thank the PHOTOGRAPHER for this photo.

After Haiyan, a super typhoon never seen had struck the nation, we were brought down to our knees. At first we couldn't believe what had happened as a Monster Typhoon had hit us so hard, so hard that hundreds of islands were declared "ground zero". People right now are fighting, killing, stealing in desperation and frustration for supplies. But as of right now, supplies are quickly satisfying the survivors but there are still more that are needed to be saved.

As we are rebuilding from the ground, people from around the world reached out to help the Philippines stand up once more after this calamity. So much generosity was seen that "unity" was seen among all of us despite our races and colors.

Meanwhile in New York City, The iconic Empire State Building decided to tribute the Filipino people by lighting up the 4 colors that make up the Philippine flag, Blue, Red, White and yellow to raise our hopes for the future of our beloved nation. A heartfelt photograph that we and I couldn't forget. Thank you NYC for your support, may we ever stand united forever together with the other nations as family.

"Mabuhay Pilipinas! Mabuhay sa sangkatauhan! Mabuhay sa lahat!"

("Long Live the Philippines! Long live to Humanity! Long live to All!")

Thank you! :)
